Rehoboth By The Sea is located in the north end of Dewey Beach.  This is a very unique neighborhood in that there are both leasehold properties and "in-fee" properties.  This is a very important distinction!  "In-Fee" means you own the improvements and the land.  "Leasehold" means you are purchasing the improvements (home/structure/outbuildings) and lease the land for the remainder of the lease.  Upon the end of the lease, you must remove the home and return the land to its original condition, or negotiate a new lease with the land owner.  The primary benefit of leasehold properties is that you can purchase them for a fraction of the cost of an "in-fee" property.  Financing a leasehold property can be extremely challenging, so many purchases of leasehold properties are cash. 

The neighborhood is made up of custom single family homes, beach cottages, and several condominium complexes.

Dewey Beach is located just south of Rehoboth Beach on a narrow strip of land between the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Bay.  With the long stretch of sandy beach and numerous restaurants and clubs, Dewey Beach is a popular destination for vacationers to own summer residences.
